Privacy
What data RE Digital Editions collects, how the site is hosted, and how this notice may change.
This notice describes how RE Digital Editions, operated by DeltaSpark, handles information when you visit this website.
Scope
This notice covers the website you are reading: its guide pages, reference pages, images, and RSS feed. It does not cover other websites that the guides link to. The About page describes the publication itself.
What this site does and does not collect
The site sets no cookies of its own. It currently runs no analytics or advertising scripts, and it does not ask you to create an account or submit personal information.
The site has no forms, accounts, or comment fields, so it collects nothing that you type or submit directly. We do not ask for your name, email address, or any other personal details in order to read the site.
Hosting and technical request data
A hosting and content delivery provider serves the site. To deliver pages and keep the site secure, the provider may process technical request data: your IP address, browser user agent, the URL you requested, the time of the request, and the referring page if your browser sends one. This processing happens on the provider’s infrastructure under its own terms and privacy practices.
Figure 1 shows what happens when a page loads. Your browser requests a page, the provider handles the request for delivery and security, and the static pages and images are returned. The figure also notes that the site sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising scripts, and has no forms or accounts.
How we use technical data
We do not use the technical request data to build profiles of readers, identify individuals, or send you messages. The site contains no code that records visits, and we do not combine request data with any other source. The provider’s processing is limited to delivering the requested page and keeping the site available and secure, for example by detecting abusive traffic. The provider acts under its own terms and privacy practices, which apply to that processing, and you can consult them directly.
Cookies
The site sets no cookies of its own. Depending on its configuration, the hosting or security provider may set strictly necessary security cookies, for example to protect the site from abusive traffic. They are not used for advertising or for tracking you across sites.
External links
Guides link to standards bodies, regulators, manufacturers, and other external websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for them. Following a link may tell the other site which page you came from. The Editorial Policy explains how we cite external sources by what they cover.
RSS feed
The site has an RSS feed so that you can follow new guides in a feed reader. Requesting the feed is a request like any other page, so the hosting provider may process the same technical request data described above. The feed contains published content and does not require an account.
Changes to this notice
If we add analytics, advertising, forms, or any other feature that collects information, we will update this notice before or when the feature is enabled. The update will say what is collected, why, who receives it, and what choices you have.
Browser settings and tracking controls
Because the site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising scripts, there is no site-specific tracking for you to opt out of. Nothing on the site needs to be switched off. To limit what your browser sends, you can change its settings or use privacy tools of your choice. Blocking cookies should not stop the guides from loading, although a security check from the provider could behave differently depending on your configuration.
Data transfers and security
The provider’s infrastructure may be in several regions, so request data can be processed outside the country where you are reading. The provider’s own terms govern where and how that happens. We do not store personal information of our own, so there is no reader database on this site to protect. We may review the hosting configuration from time to time, and we will update this notice if a change in how requests are handled affects readers.
Children
The site is written for professionals who specify, buy, operate, and maintain equipment. It is not directed at children, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Because the site collects no personal information from readers of any age, there is nothing to collect from a child either.
Your rights
Your rights regarding personal data depend on where you live. They may include requests to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you. Because we do not collect information directly from you, we hold little that we could provide or delete, and the hosting provider handles most technical request data under its own practices. Contact details for requests will be published on this site, and you will be able to make a request through the Contact page once it is available.
